Cella Gallery is pleased to announce the Grand Opening at their new location in the heart of the North Hollywood Arts District, a one-square-mile neighborhood with over 20 established theaters, dance studios, recording studios and art galleries.

Cella Gallery is a contemporary fine art gallery focused on developing the careers of both their established and emerging artists as well as catering to the needs of their clients who include prominent decorators, designers, collectors and celebrities.  Cella Gallery is committed to nurturing the local creative community through their special events:  Music Nights, Artist’s Salons, and new exhibits approximately every six weeks.

Cella Gallery is proud to present the artwork of Miguel Osuna, Valentin Toledo and Bryan Elliott.

Miguel Osuna’s paintings often cross lines between Representation and Impressionism: beautiful snapshots - ethereal dreams of the enchanting ‘distopia’ that is Southern California.  Born and raised in Mazatlan, Mexico, Osuna received a degree in architecture from U.A.G. in Guadalajara, before making Los Angeles his home. Recently his works were shown at the Istituto Cultural de Mexico and the American University, in Washington D.C.  In 2006 he presented his solo exhibition, “Landscape”, at the Mazatlan Museum of Art.  In addition to his museum shows, Osuna has had numerous solo exhibits throughout California and Mexico, and group shows in the US and Europe.  His artwork has been featured in many publications including ArtNews and Art Ltd.

Originally from Spain, Valentin Toledo spent several years in Seville, Barcelona and Madrid before making Los Angeles his home. Toledo is a multi-faceted artist with a broad spectrum of work experiences.  He worked as Art Director for prominent European magazines including Vogue, Marie Claire, and Elle.  He worked as an Illustrator for which he was awarded with the LAUS prize for Outstanding Achievement in Illustration, and as a Photographer he received an award from the French Ministry of Tourism. Toledo recently published a book of photographs titled USA, which is distributed exclusively in museums throughout Europe and Asia.  He is now most recognized for his always remarkable, often intricate, abstract works on glass.  Toledo’s paintings have shown in Madrid, Barcelona, London, Seville, Paris, Frankfurt, Los Angeles and New York.

Bryan Elliott is an incredibly versatile, self-taught photographer, accomplished musician and professional music producer.  Born in Columbia, South Carolina, he first became interested in photography while playing with his mother’s camera without her permission. The unique style Elliott has developed for this show is completely contrived “in-camera” without any digital manipulation. Taking photos with extremely slow shutter speeds, he reveals more than just a-split-second-in-time, his dreamlike photographs lay-bare moments that would otherwise be ignored. Elliott lives his art, whether capturing the beautiful sounds of the London Symphony Orchestra or capturing the beauty in the nature that surrounds him.

Cella Gallery is owned by, good-friends and enthusiastic art lovers, McKenzie Alexander and Shannon Currie Holmes. McKenzie and Shannon started their love of the arts early, McKenzie forging a career as a professional ballet dancer for the Joffrey Ballet Company and American Ballet Theater, and Shannon as a professional Sommelier working with the International Sommelier Guild.  McKenzie and Shannon both studied Art History and while McKenzie refined her business savvy with a double major in Business Marketing, Shannon open a successful catering-staffing service. McKenzie made her foray into the Los Angeles art world first as an independent broker, later opening a gallery in Studio City.  It wasn’t until meeting Shannon that Cella Gallery was born and now is fully realized in it’s new home in the North Hollywood Arts District. Cella Gallery is excited to be part of this growing arts community and is happy to bring their incredible roster of artists to join the NoHo Arts Movement.
